The 2026 Annual Philanthropy Gala Auction is set to begin
With public‑interest activities filed with the Hainan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs and administrative approval from the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, Boao has launched its annual cultural charity gala.
One vessel, one world; one painting, one season. When collecting meets charity, each hammer strike sets beauty in motion throughout the world.
As a cultural hub of openness within the Hainan Free Trade Port, the “Asian Charity Night: 2026 Annual Charity Gala Auction,” hosted by the Hainan Asia Culture and Arts Foundation, is set to officially launch. The event has completed official registration with the Hainan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs for charitable activities and obtained an administrative license for auction operations from the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports. It stands as an annual cultural charity event in the Hainan Free Trade Port—compliant, authoritative, and imbued with both artistic value and public‑benefit significance.
I. Dual Compliance Endorsement: The Standard-Bearer for Public‑Welfare Cultural Activities in the Free Trade Port
As the annual flagship public‑service initiative of the Hainan Asia Culture and Arts Foundation, this Asia Charity Night was conducted in full compliance with the regulations governing nonprofit activities, duly filed and approved by the Hainan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. All event procedures, financial management, and public disclosure of donations were subject to oversight and guidance. Furthermore, the auction was granted administrative approval by the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, ensuring that the provenance, review, and handover of all lots were fully compliant and traceable throughout the entire process.
This auction is centered on the triad of “culture, charity, and collecting,” bridging the value of art collection with pathways for public‑interest outreach. It serves as the Foundation’s annual flagship initiative to fulfill its mission of “connecting the world through culture and empowering philanthropy through art.” All proceeds will be dedicated to the Foundation’s ongoing cultural‑public‑interest programs, spanning areas such as supporting young Asian artists, hosting Asian cultural exchange forums, advancing ecological and cultural conservation, and promoting inclusive arts education—ensuring openness, transparency, and full traceability.

The auction features a carefully curated selection of lots, spanning from the early Qing dynasty and the Yongzheng period through to the late Qing and the Republic of China era. It encompasses a wide range of categories, including traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, fine porcelain and elegant curios, as well as refined scholar’s objects. Each lot has undergone rigorous provenance verification and expert authentication, ensuring a well-documented lineage and unquestionable authenticity.
Unlike typical commercial auctions, every lot in this sale is designated as a charitable offering. Each successful bid not only reflects a choice of aesthetic appreciation and collection but also provides tangible support for Asian cultural philanthropy. The proceeds from the hammer will be channeled into concrete efforts to nurture young artists, safeguard cultural heritage, and foster mutual learning among civilizations—making it possible to “collect a work of art while contributing to a cause.”
IV. A Shared Commitment: Harnessing the Power of Collecting to Embrace the Beauty of Public Service
From the elegant preview at Haikou International Trade Center to the charitable gala on the shores of Boao, this Asia Charity Night will span mountains and seas, weaving together art collecting and acts of public goodwill. We cordially invite collectors, culture enthusiasts, and philanthropic partners from home and abroad to join us in person—where, while savoring century‑old artistic masterpieces, we will collectively contribute to the advancement of cultural philanthropy across Asia.
